Logistical problems of shooting in the city forces Rakesh Roshan to recreate a Mumbai set at Ramoji Film City.
Rakesh Roshan ambitious sequel to ‘Krrish’ will be shot in Hyderabad. A set will be recreated depicting Mumbai at Ramoji Film City. This was decided so that the logistical problems of shooting in the streets of Mumbai are resolved.
The set, designed to resemble a business hub in Mumbai will be completed by late September. “The script required Hrithik Roshan to perform some death defying stunts on the streets of Mumbai. However the star didn’t want to shoot in crowded locations as he was wary of crowds hounding him during the shoot,” said a source.
However, it wasn’t economically feasible to recreate the set in Mumbai due to space crunch. “The action sequence would need a location like the Bandra Kurla Complex. So Rakesh Roshan first went to ND studio in Karjat but decided it was not possible to go ahead because of production costs,” added the source.
Art director Sabu Cyril who has earlier worked on films like Raavan and Enthiran is recreating the Bandra Kurla Complex in Ramoji Rao Filmcity in Hyderabad. The set will be spread over an area of almost 2 kilometers and will have around 65 buildings with detailed work.

Will Vidya bare all for Husain?
Vidya Balan is Maqbool Fida Husain's latest muse. And this time, unlike what he did with his past Bollywood muses, the 95- year- old artist wants to go the whole hog with sensuousness.Reportedly, he plans to paint Vidya in the nude. Sources confirm that Husain has put in a special request with the actress to capture her on his canvas in the buff."Husain saab is keen on doing a very special painting with Vidya Balan . He has never captured any Bollywood star in the nude, so it will be a first of sorts," said the source. When we tried contacting Vidya, she was unavailable for comment. However, sources say the actress is thrilled about the idea. "But Vidya is yet to respond to the request," the source added. If Vidya says yes, this will be the second occasion in recent times that she will have a bold image makeover. The actress is currently shooting for Milan Luthria's Dirty Picture, a film in which she portrays the troubled life of eighties south Indian siren Silk Smitha.Husain's newfound admiration for Vidya comes in the wake of his obsession to paint Anushka Sharma recently. The artist admitted being floored by Anushka's performance in Band Baaja Baaraat and wanted to launch a series of paintings on the actress, to be titled 'Punjab Ki Kudi'. Husain's past muses include Madhuri Dixit, Tabu and Amrita Rao. The veteran painter, whom Forbes magazine once hailed as the 'Picasso of India', is on a self imposed exile from India and accepted a citizenship of Qatar where he currently lives."Vidya has been quietly getting rid of her demure and traditional image that became her trademark since her debut film Parineeta," says a Bollywood trade analyst. Her sizzling dance number in Santosh Sivan's upcoming Urumi has also been in the news. She is also set to reprise Hema Malini's role in a remake of Satte Pe Satta. Her fans will look forward to her performance in Sujoy Ghosh's Kahaani, where she plays an action heroine out to avenge the death of her dear ones. The film is rumoured to be a remake of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill. If Husain manages to convince Vidya, she will be getting into the skin of her character in an altogether unconventional way.
